Land Art Literacy I
This collaboration between Jana Bochee and myself came about through trying to map a vocabulary of words that come to mind when I contemplate my art practice while working in the landscape and while creating land art. These words which are like labels on the stones all have different meanings and apply to different things and yet are all connected to each other. The work allows the viewer to have various conceptual associations when looking at the text on the stones and to question how we as human beings impose labels on objects giving them a conceptual meaning and existence.
